RALLYE/KLEE LABEL
KANAZAWA, JAPAN
Rallye/Klee Records usually don't ship outside of Japan. So if you were to buy
the label's records you would have
to order from Japanese HMV, Tower Records or other large record stores. I've arranged so you can
order all of
Rallye/Klee's releases through panachesounds.com, and all of them at a discounted
price! All you need is a
PayPal
account.

3. Transfer money.
A) The RECIPIENT e-mail address is shop@rallye-kanazawa.com

C) In CATEGORY OF PURCHASE, choose "Goods

important of all: type in the NOTES

method you want to use (EMS or SAL) and also type
your shipping

E)
Then click CONTINUE and fulfill
the transaction. You will then receive a verification

that
confirms your purchase.
Prices:
The prices of the records are marked with
RED COLOR. Payment in US Dollars only.
Shipping options and charges:
Here you have 2 options. You can either use
EMS shipping or SAL shipping. So what does this mean then?
Well, it's more or less "standard" or "economy" shipping methods. EMS uses
tracing and can track your parcel
until it arrives at your doorstep, and the shipping is fast too (roughly one
week). EMS is however more expensive
than SAL, which doesn't use tracking and takes almost 3 weeks to ship. But SAL
is a more convenient option for
those who want to save an extra few bucks. Rallye/Klee recommends (for safety reasons)
that you use EMS, but
the
choice is all up to you, off course!
| EMS (Standard) | SAL (Economy) |

Yuri Miyauchi "Farcus" ALBUM (15 TRACKS) / 2007 RYECD034 / $16 Kris says: Miyauchi-san is back with his sweet recognizable sound (see also his previous album "Parcage", RYECD017). New album, new tracks, and new delights. |
![]() |
Miou Miou "La
la grande finale" ALBUM (12 TRACKS) / 2007 (originally released 2006) RYECD028 / $16 Kris says: Miou Miou is an East Bohemia band formed in the spring of 2003. MM´s music is characterized by girlish vocals in French, catchy lyrics, playfulness, repetitive elements, dynamic contrasts and searching for new sounds. Their music makes use of a wide range of instruments, from more unique instruments such as analog synthesizers (Vermona, Farfisa, Delicia), oscillators, vibraphone, harp and kantele; to more concert stuff like guitars, bass and drums. |
![]() |
Grammatics "Grammatics
EP" EP (4 TRACKS) / 2007 KLEP004 / $12 Kris says: Grammatics are a stylistically diverse band and like to hop though most of the genres related to indie-rock. Grammatics formed around April 2006 in a terraced house basement just outside Leeds city centre. They soon found that they shared many mutual loves...argument, doing things in the most difficult possible manner and general pretentiousness. |

Cap Pas Cap
"Not Not is Fine" EP (5 TRACKS) / 2007 KLEP003 / $12 Kris says: Inspired by late seventies/early eighties no-wave punk sounds and with a fascination with all things psychedelic and krautrock. Go bonkers! |
![]() |
The Tough
Alliance "The New School" ALBUM (12 TRACKS) / 2007 (Originally released 2005) RYECD033 / $16 Kris says: A modern classic Swedish pop record. You either love them or hate them. Since the Rallye edition contains the two smashing singles "Holiday" and "Make it Happen" I bet most of you will like this album. Let's get dumb, let's listen to TTA and snort coke. The Rallye edition contains two extra tracks. |

Soviac "Hello
Bunny" ALBUM (12 TRACKS) / 2007 KLCD018 / $16 Kris says: GhettoTech? Electropunk? I dunno, I've lost track of all dance genres nowadays. I know however that this Swedish trio makes hard electronic dance music, not unlike Fox 'n' Wolf on valium. |
![]() |
The Zax "Sheepshearing" ALBUM (11 TRACKS) / 2007 RYECD032 / $16 Kris says: Typical US packed-with-a-punch-Pop meets hip hop rhythms. The Zax - a.k.a. Rion Harmon - calls his music Ghetto Pop Music. See if you can make heads or tails out of it. |
![]() |
The Silent
League "Of stars and other somebodies" ALBUM (17 TRACKS) / 2007 RYECD031 / $16 Kris says: Exquisite pop music from ex-Mercury Rev keyboardist's band. Influences include Electric Light Orchestra, Scott Walker, Lou Reed, the Tindersticks, the Flaming Lips, Todd Rundgren, Roxy Music and George Harrison. A must-have! |
![]() |
The Far Cries "S/T" MINIALBUM (7 TRACKS) / 2007 KLCD017 / $14 Kris says: I'll it it to the UK critics: With songs of this calibre, they won't be quiet for long" - SINGLE OF THE MONTH - Record Collector // "Wonderful music from The Far Cries. Single "Stepping's" pounding riff gets us shuffling from foot to foot like the natural born dancers we are." - ARTROCKER // ...it is rock n roll with a similar dynamic to The Kills, but with more of an art-school edge...- MUSIC WEEK // "The Kind of spiky pop song that dreams are made of. So wake up and head down to your local indie store and buy, buy, buy." - DROWNED IN SOUND |

Nelson "Revolving
Doors" ALBUM (15 TRACKS) / 2007 KLCD016 / $16 Kris says: If dark postpunk and Gang of Four is your cup of tea, then Nelson just might be your spoon of sugar. |
![]() |
Montag "Going
Places" ALBUM (14 TRACKS) / 2007 RYECD030 / $16 Kris says: On this album Antoine Bedard collaborates with friends from different parts of the world. These friends are for instance: M83, Final Fantasy, Beach House and Au Revoir Simone. If you liked the earlier Montag release on Rallye, then be sure to get this one as it follows in the same light, poppy and accessible electronic sound. The Rallye edition contains 2 extra tracks. |
![]() |
Dorian
Pimpernel "Hollandia" MINIALBUM (7 TRACKS) / 2007 RYECD029 / $16 Kris says: On "Hollandia" the French 7-man orchestra Dorian Pimpernel delivers classy vocal popmusic whose sound is clearly drawn from the 60s pop classics map with a close relationship to the French pop legacy. Look beyond all of this and you'll discover some nice soft rock tunes as well. |
![]() |
MIT "Goodbook" ALBUM (13 TRACKS) / 2007 KLCD015 / $16 Kris says: Behind this classy album cover hides warped out new raveish sounds that is reminiscent of Devo on crack, German 80s new wave or Hot Chip on coca-cola. Arm yourself with glowsticks and enter the night. |
![]() |
RATT:ATT:AGG
"And on the First Dat the Gods Created" ALBUM (11 TRACKS) / 2007 KLCD014 / $16 Kris says: Ok, this album is just about as crazy as rock music can get. It's as vivid as late 70s new wave and as inebriated as a mob gang-dancing to a Buzzcocks single. |
![]() |
Boys of Brazil
"S/T" EP (5 TRACKS) / 2007 KLEP001 / $12 Kris says: Time to put on the leather gloves and rawk! For fans of Libertines and similar new rock bands who just don't give a damn. |
![]() |
Dananananaykroyd
"S/T" EP (5 TRACKS) / 2007 KLEP002 / $12 Kris says: Straight out of the Moshi Moshi singles club comes this fast-talking Ghostbuster to rock the pants off you. For fans of lo-fi acts such as Superchunk, Sonic Youth, Fugazi et al. |
![]() |
Surkin "Action
Replay" ALBUM (11 TRACKS) / 2007 KLCD010 / $16 Kris says: One of the better acts to arrive from the mp3 techno blogosphere and carry on the legacy of early Daft Punk. So if you've been new raving lately you've surely danced to some of Surkin's works. Here's a complilation that gathers 6 songs and 5 remixes (by Riot in Belgium and Para One to name a few). |
![]() |
Matt & Kim
"S/T" ALBUM (10 TRACKS) / 2007 KLCD011 / $16 Kris says: Take my word for it when I say that US duo Matt & Kim makes New York go totally insane with their simple keyboard & drums setup. It's like Mates of State, only better! And to top it all off, M&K certainly has made two of the most entertaining music videos in recent memory (check them on youtube). |
![]() |
Adam Kesher
"Modern Times" ALBUM (12 TRACKS) / 2007 KLCD012 / $14 Kris says: This is the sound of when rock and dance music collides. When old waves clash with new waves. When music is making love to the listener's ears. Six man band Adam Kesher is the sound of Edwyn Collins jamming with Gang of Four after a coffee break in front of the Floukids blog. This CD is the "Modern Times" EP with an additional 7 remixes to boot. |
![]() |
Panther
"Secret Lawns" ALBUM (13 TRACKS) / 2007 KLCD013 / $16 Kris says: Bring out your glowsticks, we're going to the post-postpunk discotheque! Charlie Salas-Humara is one to watch out for. "Secret Lawns" forges rock, club rhythms, jazz and pure electronic nonsense with plain madness. The result? Something way out there and original. |
![]() |
Yacht
"I Believe in You. Your Magic is Real" ALBUM (12 TRACKS) / 2007 RYECD027 / $16 Kris says: Is it a plane? A Bird? A comet? No, it's a flying Yacht! This is a weird hybrid of acoustic pop, new wave (think Tom Tom Club on a chemical substance of your choice) and DFAesque electronica, strung together with magic touch of expressiveness. |
![]() |
Au Revoir
Simone "Bird of Music" ALBUM (11 TRACKS) / 2007 RYECD025 / $16 Kris says: Our favourite Williamsburg girls are back with their debut full length album! Since you've already bought all the ARS releases prior to this you know what to expect from those three old-school keyboard afficionados. But in case you don't, then listen to this, this and this. |
![]() |
Number0
"Sero" MINI-ALBUM (6 TRACKS) / 2006 RYECD024 / $13 Kris says: Another Japanese band joins the Rallye ranks. This time it is a three-piece armed with samplers, guitars, kalimbas and Gameboys. From this setup Number0 creates a smooth, ethereal kind of rock music, in the same vein as certain American postrockers or European electroacoustic artists. But most of all, it sounds like Japanese shores. |
![]() |
Henri Faberge
& The Adorables
"S/T" ALBUM (14 TRACKS) / 2006 RYECD023 / $16 Kris says: Certainly the largest band since I'm from Barcelona and The Polyphonic Spree, Canadian Henri Faberge & The Adorables are made up of 18 people who set out to compose jaded pop anthems for disillusioned lovers. This album spans timeless sounds and themes around, spinning tales of creaking naïvete, whispering excess, tiresome sexploits, asmathic distaste and melancholy dispondence. Don't blame them if you don't get it, or any. Most certainly for fans of Belle & Sebastian! The Rallye edition contains one bonus track. |
![]() |
Au Revoir
Simone "Verses of Comfort, Assurance & Salvation - Deluxe edition!" 2CD ALBUM (15 TRACKS) / 2005+2006 RYECDS008 / SOLD OUT!! Kris says: This is the re-release of Au Revoir Simone's debut CD (released on here on Rallye in 2005 as RYECD008). It contains the same simple yet compelling back-to-basic-synthesizer pop, delivered with a hint of playful melancholy. But this time it is accompanied with a remix CD which features names such as The Shortwave Set, The Superimposers and the Rallye label mate Yuri Miyauchi. |
![]() |
Strange Idols
"It's No Fun!" EP (6 TRACKS) / 2006 RYECD022 / $12 Kris says: Alright! I have really been waiting patiently for the jingle-jangle guitarpop to take over the Rallye catalog! London-based Strange Idols really do sound like their idols (80s postcard bands and such) which may perhaps seem a tad unimaginative but they surely deliver the songs flawlessly, just a have a listen to the title song and you'll probably be hooked. This EP compiles their two singles and adds a few extra tracks. |
![]() |
Lo-Fi-Fnk "Boylife" ALBUM (13 TRACKS) / 2006 KLCD009 / $16 Kris says: One of the absolutely best Swedish albums of 2006, Lo-Fi-Fnk's debut album features everything a pop afficionado can ask for: extremely catchy popsongs, a throbbing electrodisco pulse and a tough, boyish charm. Don't miss this! The Klee edition features 2 extra tracks. |
![]() |
Klaxons "Xan
Valleys EP" EP (6 TRACKS) / 2006 KLCD008 / SOLD OUT!! Kris says: Straight outta the Modular roster comes the warped freakout rock band Klaxons! This is modern rock music for very open-minded spirits. When was the last time you imagined that punkrock music would sound like this? Includes a fine remix by Van She, the group that has been dubbed the future of Australia. |
![]() |
K.I.M. "System
Breakdown" MINI-ALBUM (9 TRACKS) / 2006 KLCD007 / $12 Kris says: If classy electrohouse is the name of your game then you've might have taken the Australian Modular act The Presets to your heart ("Girl and the Sea EP" 4-evah!!). K.I.M. is the solo project from one of the preset guys and is more or less giddy electrodisco which seems to be the thing kids like to dance, drink and snort coke to nowadays. Includes remixes by Midnight Juggernauts and Riot in Belgium. |
![]() |
Toymaker "The
Kindergarten" MINI-ALBUM (8 TRACKS) / 2006 RYECD021 / $14 Kris says: In need for some cozy autumn pop electronica? Why not try Toymaker's crisp output! It kind of reminds me of the breezy feel that Air delivered back in the days when they were all into moogsy grooves and stuff. |
![]() |
Midnight
Juggernauts "A Battle of Two Cities" ALBUM (9 TRACKS) / 2006 KLCD006 / $16 Kris says: Australian duo Midnight Juggernauts come from the same music scene as Cut Copy and have quickly become one of my new favorite bands to watch out for. "Shadows" is just one of those great, eclectic neo-house songs that has the disco funk of an early Daft Punk 12", the crisp synthetic sounds of 80s ELO and the eerie vocals of any British postpunk circa 1982. Furthermore, there's DAF-esque disco marches, Brian May-esque rockout vocoder disco, and looped Frenchness hoolabaloo in this dynamite package. |
![]() |
The Redcoats
are Coming! "Sermon of the Wolf" ALBUM (11 TRACKS) / 2006 KLCD005 / $16 Kris says: Watch out, this very original Brooklynite trio just might eat your children for breakfast! I mean, just take a look at this quote from the website: "Taking influence from such things as spiders, the black plague, Henry Darger, Dario Argento, Rosemary's Baby, Black Forest, and of course, Paul Revere, their spooky and danceable songs have been dubbed by some as Drac-core!". Do YOU dare to buy their debut album? |
![]() |
The Valentinos "The
Valentinos EP" MINI-ALBUM (6 TRACKS) / 2006 (originally released 2005) KLCD004 / $12 Kris says: More Aussie-rawk! Should appeal to those who are into postpunk such as Gang of Four or Bloc Party. Includes a classy remix by "the future of Australia" Van She. |
![]() |
Damn Arms "Patterns" MINI-ALBUM (9 TRACKS) / 2006 (originally released 2005) KLCD003 / $13 Kris says: Get yer rocks off! This is the Japanese edition of the Australian rawk group's popular "Patterns" EP. It features all six tracks of the original single but is boosted with three classy remixes from Darlin'/Belgium (=Cut Copy?), Test Icicles and Midnight Juggernauts. |
![]() |
One Day Diary "Fantastic
Laboratory" ALBUM (10 TRACKS) / 2006 RYECD020 / $16 Kris says: This Japanese duo makes some kind of hiphop/pop hybrid music based around beats and piano. For laidback days in the sun I suppose. |
![]() |
Short Stories
"Currents" ALBUM (11 TRACKS) / 2006 RYECD019 / $16 Kris says: Short Stories is Brooklynite kid Michael McGuire who makes dazzling pop music strung together with Postal Service-esque programming and beautifully sung vocals. Has a 7" coming out on Morr music too. |
![]() |
The Embassy "Tacking" ALBUM (11 TRACKS) / 2006 (originally released 2005) RYECD018 / $16 Kris says: This was the best Swedish record of 2005 in my opinion. Every word, chord, beat and note just spells P-O-P from start to finish. "Tacking" has everything that an acid house-fueled, anglophile pop nerd wished that the year of 1991 really sounded like. But wake up, because it really takes place in our time, now, today, forever. The Rallye edition contains new artwork and 2 bonus tracks. |

Various
Artists "Keep and Open Mind or Else" ALBUM (20 TRACKS) / 2006 KLCD001 / $16 Kris says: This compilation is the starting point for Rallye's new sub-label called Klee. It presents 20 tracks with radical artists either doing modern rock music, heavy electrohouse or perhaps a mixture of those two genres. The thing is - just like the McCarthy-parafrasing title suggests - to have an open mind if you want to experience something that differs from the ordinary. Well, this sounds like natural common sense but for the Rallye/Klee founder Fumi, this would be a strong political motivation and criticism towards the music scene in Japan where foreign bands are neglected and indie labels don't stand a chance in the highly commercialized music business. Fumi will keep on fighting until he becomes bankrupt, and artists like Damn Arms, Detect, Kim (of The Presets), Poney Poney, Crusz and Simian Mobile Disco are there to back him up. |
![]() |
Rekindle "The
Chandelier" ALBUM (10 TRACKS) / 2006 KLCD002 / $16 Kris says: We were all astounded when we heard the "Ice Skating Girl" song on Trevor Jackson's label Output back in 2003. It had great hit potential and sounded exactly like an updated hipster clash between New Edition and Scritti Politti. Now the time has finally come for Murray Creagh to release his debut album, filled with loads of those good hit tunes that makes you want to go back to the neon-coloured new wave times in the 80s. Right? Right! |
![]() |
Yuri Miyauchi
"Parcage" ALBUM (15 TRACKS) / 2006 RYECD017 / $16 Kris says: Miyauchi-san's debut work is a display of electronica with enchanting sounds and structures! Usually built around a crisp rhythm and pulses of synthesizers, Miyauchi then adds his acoustic guitar to create sweet instrumentals. Equally beautiful as accessible, "Parcage" might as well be the laptop generation's take on Antonio Carlos Jobim's "Desafinado" album. |
![]() |
The Department
of Eagles "The Cold Nose" ALBUM (15 TRACKS) / 2006 (originally released 2005) RYECD016 / $16 Kris says: This is the Japanese issue of the critically acclaimed release from British Melodic Records (home of Minotaur Shock, Pedro and Psapp to name a few). "The Cold Nose" is a mystic hybrid of sample-crazed downtempo electronica, singer/songwriter-tendencies and other strange stuff, fused together with a lo-fi touch. The Rallye edition contains 2 bonus tracks. |
![]() |
Certainly, Sir
"Tan" ALBUM (9 TRACKS) / 2005 RYECD015 / $16 Kris says: "Tan" is the excellent follow-up to "Mugic". From the opener "Happy" via "Midnight Again" (with a guest appearance from Ben Gibbard of Death Cab for Cutie/Postal Service) to the closing "Act Fast", this album shows a leap of progression in terms of both sound and songwriting. The vocals are smoother, the electronics are crispier. And these are just some of the qualities that make "Tan" essential to every collector of contemporary electropop. |
![]() |
Au Revoir
Simone "Hurricanes EP" EP (3 TRACKS) / 2005 RYEEP001 / $10 Kris says: Just in time for their first Japanese tour, Au Revoir Simone put another release out on the market. Exclusive for this EP is a new song and the remix (sounding almost like The Breeders' "Cannonball", don'tcha think?) of the title track made by Japanese indiehouse legend Masashi Naka, who makes music under the Losfeld moniker when not running his influential label Escalator. Not to be missed by serious collectors! |
![]() |
Montag "Goodbye
Fear" MINI-ALBUM (7 TRACKS) / 2005 RYECD014 / $13 Kris says: After a brilliant album on the French Gooom label ("Alone Not Alone") Antoine Bédard returns with 7 new tracks that show a looser, and poppier side to the Montag universe (looks like he's been listening to Stereolab lately). However, do not despair! The lush instrumentation of glockenspiel, bells and soft rock arrangements is still as present as before. |
![]() |
Garden "Round
and Round" ALBUM (12 TRACKS) / 2005 RYECD013 / $16 Kris says: Garden is the band of Simon Lord (of UK psych-folk band Simian) which marks the return to the lush pop music the Japanese wouldn't hesitate to call Neo-Acoustic. There are twelve brilliant, folky, flute-adorned popsongs that recall the heydays of The Pale Fountains, and sung with a voice as golden as Louis Philippe's. |

Artists "Rallye Cloak 02: Swim Sweet Swedish" COMPILATION (17 TRACKS) / 2005 RYECD012 / $16 Kris says: Exit Tambourine Studios - Enter a new generation of Swedish pop! Rallye proudly presents 17 new Swedish pop expressions that will blow the common Japanese predictions about stereotyped Swedish music into smithereens! Sing yowsah yowsah to dance anthems from The Embassy, Lo-Fi-Fnk and The Tough Alliance; contemplate to Hans Appelqvist and Patrik Torsson and then kick back and enjoy the smorgasbord. |
![]() |
Differnet "The
Next Compensation" 2xALBUM (22 TRACKS) / 2005 (Originally released 2003 and 2005) RYECD011 / $17 Kris says: More Swedes! Differnet is one of the most appreciated electronic acts in Sweden after two successful albums. These albums are compiled here and features many gems, each differnet from the previous one. So if you're into both noisy and sweet electronic fragments fused together with first class programming then feel free to walk the adventurous road named Differnet. Oh, and beware of the bee swarm! |
![]() |
Panache "The
Black Letters" ALBUM (11 TRACKS) / 2005 RYECD010 / $16 Kris says: The first Panache release is a sampladelic cut'n'paste pop adventure that will take you through a wildly eclectic mix of styles in a manner somewhat reminiscent of the Japanese pop scene in the 90s. I'm apparantly being described in Japan as an embodiment of The Avalanches, early Cut Copy, Lemon Jelly and Her Space Holiday (and, yes, that is quite a difficult bunch of artists to live up to I must admit!). I hope you will enjoy the album as much as I enjoyed the records and films that inspired me to make this happen. |
![]() |
Chin Chin "Shallow
Dive" ALBUM (15 TRACKS) / 2005 RYECD009 / $16 Kris says: If the current folktronica movement (Four Tet, etc) is the name of your game then Chin Chin definitely is a new friend to play with. This release is filled with biodegradable down-tempo beats and beautiful, broken sounds. The Rallye edition has a whopping amount of 4 extra tracks. |
![]() |
Au Revoir
Simone "Verses of Comfort, Assurance & Salvation" MINI-ALBUM (8 TRACKS) / 2005 RYECD008 / $13 Kris says: The debut release from this semi-hyped New York trio contains simple yet compelling back-to-basic-synthesizer pop, delivered with a hint of playful melancholy. And those of you who are graced with the ability to read Japanese may also get something extra out of the liner notes written by pop legend Takako Minekawa. |
![]() |
Various
Artists "Rallye Cloak 01" COMPILATION (16 TRACKS) / 2004 RYECD007 / $16 Kris says: This is an unusually solid compilation with a wide range of electronic pop expressions from western indie labels. Like most compilations it has its hits and misses but the CD contains too many killer tracks (i.e. Airiel, Neeve, Akt Apart, Pop Levi, Pandatone and I Monster to name a few) to be ignored. |
![]() |
Certainly, Sir
"Mugic" ALBUM (13 TRACKS) / 2004 (Originally released 2002) RYECD006 / $16 Kris says: Fans of Junior Boys and The Postal Service might enjoy this electronic mish-mash of broken rhythms, Fender Rhodes and normative blips and blops. The upbeat "Red" and the painfully beautiful "The Vacant Lot of My Heart" are the key songs to this album in my opinion. The Rallye edition has 2 extra tracks and edited artwork. |
![]() |
Junior Boys
"Last Exit" ALBUM (10 TRACKS) / 2004 RYECD005 / $16 Kris says: One of the most critically acclaimed albums of 2004 and a personal favorite of mine. A crisp electronic pop record that echoes of desolation and oozes of chilly Canadian atmosphere and tender songwriting. Sorry, but there's something wrong with you if you don't like this. The Rallye edition has different (and nicer!) artwork and printed lyrics but, sadly, no extra tracks. |
![]() |
Junior Boys "Birthday" EP COLLECTION (8 TRACKS) / 2004 RYECD004 / $13 Kris says: This release compiles the 2 EPs ("Birthday" and "High Come Down") that Junior Boys put out before their album "Last Exit". This means you collectors will have both Manitoba(/Caribou)'s and Fennesz's remixes on one CD; now isn't that terrific? The Rallye edition has different artwork. |
![]() |
Psapp "Northdown" MINI-ALBUM (7 TRACKS) / 2004 RYECD003 / $13 Kris says: Very enjoyable electronica. Psapp are pretty hyped in Japan at the moment since their participation on Sketch Show's remix album. I am not too familiar with Psapp's discography, but as I understand it this CD contains songs exclusive to Rallye (except for "Curuncula" which is also featured in a slightly trimmed version on the 2004 album "Tiger, My Friend"). |
![]() |
Coralie "Suite" MINI-ALBUM (6 TRACKS) / 2004 RYECD002 / $13 Kris says: One of the best releases of 2004 in my opinion. Coralie mix sweet and accessible melodies with a sensible hi-tech soundscape. The electronic programming is really nifty and the jingle-jangle guitars shine like crystals in the night. Maybe that's what all the birds on the sleeve are staring at? |
![]() |
Folon "Lost
Pony" EP (4 TRACKS) / 2002 RYECD001 / $10 Kris says: Much like Coralie, Folon merges decent electronic programming and accessible acoustic guitar play. All tracks are very nice but the title track is a knockout. FYI: Folon is Rallye founder Fuminori Chikakoshi's band and features members from Coralie and Metro (whose jazzy Francis Lai-pastische "Paradise Lost" you might have picked up from Spanish Elefant Records a couple of years ago). |
